Season phenology: late

Weather conditions:

The general season was later than usual. Sandpiper and skua nests still having eggs after 25th July. Summer weather began poorly in Bellsund, cold, wet. Towards the end of July weather improved.

High Arctic tundra. Raised beaches. Very mixed ground from bog to frost patterned and areas of cobbles. Altitude of tundra 10 - 50 m. a.m.s.l.
